In 2014, a group of childhood friends and teammates came up with an idea to give back to the community and pay it forward. They hosted a street soccer tournament to raise a couple thousand dollars to help a few students pay for college.

In a few short years, that conversation turned an idea into a soccer driven educational charity called, "Spam FC Scholarship Foundation." The purpose of the charity was to raise and distribute money to help students who had been impacted by soccer in a positive way pay for post-secondary education via scholarships.
